We made and 20 California Cookies for Jake's
3rd Grade class. They decorated them with all sorts of fun things that designated all the many parts of California. River, Streams, Mountains.
What a fun way to learn. He got to have his cookie and eat it too....

Jake and Scotty on their first day of school...Best of Friends and Best of Cousins.... They never get enough of each others company.

Mark took the kids to a River Cats Game and had loads of fun......

I Blinked....Time passed.....So Fast....Too Fast

When you are a young mother you think that time is going on forever. You will never be done with diapers, you will never have a minute to yourself, the laundry will never be done, (in my case it still never is) But wow, when I came across this picture It seems like yesterday and yet, it has been 7 years since that picture was taken. Seven years of good, happy, sad, fun, not so fun, more fun years. I miss those days in some ways and am glad to just have the memories in other ways. I am rambling...But, it occures to me over and over how fast time goes and how life here on this earth is so short. I know I need to look for the JOY and to find those JOYFUL momments in everyday.
My oldest, Nick, Seems like he just went to Kindergarted and I cried that day as I dropped him off. Now I cry thinking about him starting college and preparing to go on a mission for our church for 2 years. He is such a wonderful Son. I am a proud mama of all my children...They are what keeps me going...They set me such wonderful examples...They are my Past...Present...and I am so thankful to say my future...

What an amazing experience the pioneer trek was. I was assigned such great young men and women to be in my family. Unity was quickly formed! I was so proud of them! My Faith in our beliefs have grown ten fold! I know my Pioneer Heritage was based on the knowledge they had that Jesus Chrit is our Lord and Savior! They knew the church was restored! There is no possible way they would have or could have continued day after day in the manner of travel they had to, and willingly endured, had they not known without a doubt what they believed to be true! They knew if they endured and they kept their faith that they would finally come to a place where they could find peace from the persecutions that they faced having been driven from their homes because of the beliefs that they would not deny! If you want to know more about our LDS heritage or our beliefs please visit www.lds.org for more information.
